A shocking tragedy has rocked residents of Guzape, Abuja, after a billionaire businessman, Chief Godwin Ademike, was allegedly stabbed to death by his biological son following a heated argument over money.

The incident reportedly occurred on Friday, May 15, 2026, at the deceased’s residence located at No. 3 Hassan Adamu Street, Guzape.

According to reports, the suspect confronted his father for allegedly refusing to increase his allowance despite the family’s enormous wealth and luxurious lifestyle.

Sources claimed the young man questioned why his father was not releasing enough money for him to “live like the son of a billionaire,” while comparing himself to friends whose parents were allegedly less wealthy but more generous.

Chief Ademike was said to have accused his son of squandering proceeds from a real estate business entrusted to him to manage, leading to a fierce argument between both men.

Witnesses alleged that the suspect, who was reportedly in the company of two ladies at the time, became enraged during the confrontation, picked up a knife and stabbed his father multiple times.

The businessman was reportedly rushed to Karu General Hospital but was later confirmed dead by medical personnel.

The suspect has since been taken into police custody while investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Chief Godwin Ademike was widely known as a prominent importer and exporter of electronics at Alaba International Market and reportedly owned several luxury properties in Lekki, Maitama and Guzape.
