A widower, Bishop Shedrack Okwuagwu, the general overseer of a church, the Abiding Ministry International, has received an injunction from the relatives of his late wife not to bury the corpse of his wife who died after a brief illness in Lagos in late January this year 2026. The late wife was married with two children, a son who is a layer a daughter who is medical doctor based abroad while Bishop Shedrack also has a son and a daughter from his first late wife and both are also based abroad. He, Bishop Shedrack told the TRUE INVESTIGATORs that the woman became free when they met and got married officially. Almost in tears Shedrack narrated how he suffered because of the small illness the wife had that prevented her from giving him a child before she died. He said, ‘I love her so much and she equally loved me. She was like both a wife and a sister to me. She was so good and caring and she gave me peace of mind despite what I went through because of her ill health. She covered the vacuum created by the death of my first wife. With tears he continued, ‘We were in my house that fateful day, in the night hour and unexpectedly started complaining and I rushed to hospital. Unfortunately she gave up. I deposited her remains in the mortuary and informed her relations and close friends and as many as I could reach about
about her death but to my greatest surprise, when I informed everybody of my intention to carry her remains home for burial I received an injunction to stop my intention to give her a befitting burial. My lawyer has replied in court asking for one million naira damage. When the TRUE INVESTIGATORs was contacted on phone by Shedrack’s sister a widow resident in Lagos she said both families had reached an agreement to share the burial expenses into two. All efforts to contact Shedrack for any development failed. May God give her family the fortitude to bear this great loss.May her soul rest in peace. Amen.
