The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has warned Nigerians against the sale, distribution and use of Menofix Capsules, describing the product as an unregistered medicine.
In a public alert, the agency said the capsules, marketed by PureEve with the slogan “Feel Young Again,” are falsely promoted as a treatment for menopausal symptoms, including hot flashes, poor sleep, low libido, joint pain and vaginal dryness.
NAFDAC urged retailers, healthcare professionals and consumers to immediately stop selling, distributing or using the product, stressing that medicines should only be purchased from authorised and licensed suppliers.
The agency also advised the public to report any suspected sale of unregistered or counterfeit medicines, as well as any adverse drug reactions, through the nearest NAFDAC office or its official reporting platforms.
According to NAFDAC, the warning is part of its ongoing efforts to curb the circulation of counterfeit and unregistered pharmaceutical products and protect Nigerians from the health risks they pose.
