The sixth edition of the Conference and Retreat for Senior Police Officers (CARSPO 2026) continued in Owerri on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, with senior police officers engaging in strategic discussions on the future of policing in Nigeria.
Day Two featured lectures, interactive sessions and brainstorming on smart policing, strategic communication, operational preparedness and election-security management.
A major highlight was an interactive session with the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu as police chiefs and other participants examined strategies to strengthen policing operations and prepare the Force for the 2027 General Elections.
The retreat provided an opportunity for senior officers to exchange ideas, assess emerging security challenges and explore innovative approaches to making policing more responsive, intelligence-driven and effective.
