Abba Kyari Had N4m In 4 bank accounts Not N200m in 10 banks

Reports circulating that Abba Kyari operated 10 accounts which had N200 million in them are not only false but sponsored reports to twist the narrative of what happened at the resumed hearing on a malicious asset declaration case on Wednesday, 13/03/2025.

The truth of the matter, which can be confirmed by any banker in Nigeria, is that Abba Kyari has accounts in only four banks. These are accounts in UBA, GTB, Sterling, and Access banks with less than four million naira in all of them combined.

It is easy to verify this claim. Anybody working in any of the banks can confirm. This repeated lie about big money had been circulated many times three years ago but fell flat as they failed to prove it.

Notably, Kyari has savings and current accounts in four banks, which are GTB, Sterling, UBA, and Access banks, all together, making 8 bank accounts.

He also has one dollar account and one Euro account with no money in the account. The accounts have also been inactive for 12 years, meaning they received or sent out no kobo or dollar.

It must be categorically stated that the total money in all the 10 Abba Kyari bank accounts in the four banks is less than four million Naira. Any banker can check this claim.

Also, the total cumulative monies, both deposits and withdrawal, including his salary for the past 23 years, is about 200 million naira. These include all his salaries and other legitimate small transactions, work, and international courses allowances and flight fees etc, all deposited and spent in all his accounts within the last 23 years that he has been operating the accounts in the 4 banks.

Also, no one kobo of Kyari’s money was traced to any crime within the last 23 years as testified by the prosecution witness during cross-examination.

We were all in court on Wednesday; it was an open court. It is strange to read complete and absolute falsehood being peddled around without any iota of truth of what happened.

Abba Kyari has never had five million naira of his own in any of his accounts for the past 10 years. Nigerians should not be misled again by this type of false and misleading stories being sponsored in the media with false and twisted headlines.

These are the same falsehoods they circulated three three ago during the sponsored media trial when they were talking about money that did not exist and/or properties that did not belong to him.
