Alex Otti set to flush out ghost workers in Civil Service

The Executive Governor of Abia State has approved the complete verification of every Abia Civil Servant who are currently in service. This is to ascertain the precise number of genuine employees of the commission.

Recall that the Governor during his inauguration promised to fish out the Ghost workers in the system who where allegedly employed by the past Governor and his predecessors. So far more than N300,000,000 has been recovered. According to Dr. Otti, recovered funds will be used to pay for outstanding salaries especially April arrears and part of the pension owed.

The verification started on Friday when the Abia Civil Service website was opened. It will end on Friday 21 July
