Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has publicly apologised to fellow actress Mercy Johnson Okojie, following her release from Suleja Prison earlier this week.
The movie star, who had been held in connection with online remarks she made about Johnson in 2024, secured bail on February 4 after paying N5 million.
Shortly after regaining her freedom, she recorded a video in which she admitted regret for her previous actions and asked for forgiveness.
In her statement, Angela acknowledged that unverified rumours and industry gossip had influenced her comments, leading her to make accusations that were untrue and hurtful.
She retracted previous claims, including calling Mercy a w!tch, describing such labels as damaging and baseless.
The actress also emphasised the broader impact of public disputes, explaining that feuds between celebrities can affect families and children, who may face búlly!ng because of adult conflicts.
She stressed her hope that future disagreements would be resolved privately, rather than through social media.
Angela extended her apology not only to Mercy Johnson but also to anyone she may have unintentionally offended.
She described her intentions as promoting peace and goodwill, wishing Johnson continued success and harmony.
