Arase summons IGP, retired IGPs over police affairs

The Chairman, Police Service Commission, Dr Solomon Arase, met with the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, and retired Inspectors-General of Police today, Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at the Police Service Commission Corporate Headquarters, Jabi, Abuja.

The meeting, which was at the instance of Dr. Arase, among other salient things, discussed issues affecting the Commission and the Nigeria Police Force, drawing on the experiences of retired officers who have at various times piloted the affairs of the Nigeria Police Force and the Commission.

The retired IGPs who graced the meeting included IGP Sunday Ehindero (Rtd. ); IGP Mike Mbama Okiro (Rtd.) NPM, mni; IGP Ogbonna O. Onovo (Rtd.) CFR, NPM, mni; and IGP Suleiman Abba (Rtd.).

The PSC Chairman appreciated the IGP and retired IGPs for honoring his invitation while assuring that the Commission under him will not relent in making sure that the welfare of police officers and men is well catered to.
