Two domestic staff of a caterer, Mrs. Olakunbi Adene, who was murdered in Akure, Ondo State, have confessed to killing their boss after their arrest.

The suspects, who were tracked down by detectives from the Ondo State Police Command, revealed the gruesome details of the murder.

According to a police source, “They explained that they went to the woman’s house, where she cooked for them on that fateful Thursday. After eating the delicious food, they descended on her and killed her.”

The suspects confessed, “We strangled her and cut her head with a cutlass, despite her begging us to spare her life.” They also revealed that her stomach was ripped open, with her intestines exposed.

The suspects attempted to cover their tracks by trying to set the house on fire, but their plan failed. “They covered the body with rubber materials, intending to burn the entire house so that people would think it was caused by a gas explosion from the kitchen,” they said.

The woman’s younger brother, Adebola Oyeneye, described the gruesome scene, saying, “I was the one who took the body to the mortuary; they burnt part of her stomach.”

The police are still searching for the third suspect involved in the murder.
