The Deputy Governor of Abia ,Engr Ikechukwu Emetu FNSE has called for total loyalty from the people of Ohafia local government to the government of Dr Alex Otti and Labour party and charged the newly elected labour party executives and newly absolved decamped PDP members to embrace the values of the the Labour Party.
He made this call in a large stakeholder meeting of the labour party in his hometown, Amaekpu Ohafia, in Ohafia LGA.
Engr Emetu pointed out that Labour party is through with legal battles and conflict and has found a progressive part to look forward to in the 2027 election.
His Excellency revealed that the party will take proper stewardship of stakeholders, organise congresses from ward to LGA, zonal, state and also have a proper national convention .
He noted that the fast development strides of his principal, Dr Alex Otti who has been described nationally as one of the best performing Governors, applauded the decamped members for aligning with progress and development which labour party represent.
Chief Emetu also tasked the newly elected executives to coordinate and mobilise the people of ohafia to align with Labour and ensure that Dr Alex Otti is returned in 2027 in other to continue the development project in the State.
Also speaking the Chairman of labour party Abia state chapter,Sir Emmanuel Otti, while addressing the newly elected Ohafia LGA labour party executives and decamped PDP members respectively ,charged them to shun sycophants and work towards making sure Ohafia LGA is delivered to the govt of Dr Alex otti in 2027.
He noted that the development activities of Dr Alex otti speaks for itself and encouraged all stakeholders to put hands on deck to make sure that Dr Alex Otti is returned as Governor in 2027.
Also contributing in the meeting ,a major stakeholder in labour Party Ohafia LGA and a former mayor of Ohafia LGA ,Chief Dr David Ogba , described the outstanding performance of Dr Alex Otti’s Government as a key to labour party winning the election in 2027.
He expressed his happiness in the resolved labour party case and noted that the essence of the stakeholders meeting is to regroup , restrategise and ensure full support for his Excellency.
The meeting which was well attended by notable individual like House of Representative member Ohafia South Constituency , Hon Mba Kalu Nwoke, Abia Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Prof Uche Eme Uche among others also featured the inauguration of Ohafia Labour Party New Executives and welcoming of some decamped PDP stakeholders including;
