Engr Emetu hails Abia Commissioner over free medical outreach

The Deputy Governor of Abia State, Engr Emetu while extending his birthday wishes to the Commissioner for Transport, Dr. Chiemezie Isaac Ukaegbu, has complimented his philanthropic activities in his community.

Chief Emetu stated this as a guest of honour during a Free Medical Outreach organized by Dr. Ukaegbu in commemoration of his birthday celebration at Mbaraukwu Hall, Amuzukwu Ibeku in Umuahia North LGA.

The Deputy Governor extolled Dr. Ukaegbu for his commitment to his people and spoke on the need for us to have the mindset of giving, in order to enhance peoples wellbeing and create a better future for all.

“It is not easy to make money and give”. “Everyone should pray for grace to have the mindset of giving”, he added.

Chief Emetu also thanked the team of Medical Practitioners for their services to the recipients of the free medical care and prayed God to grant Dr. Ukaegbu more years of good health and grace to continue to give back to his people.

Earlier In his address, the celebrant, Dr. Chimezie Isaac Ukaegbu, noted that the decision to celebrate his birthday through free medical outreach to his people is in a bid to give back to his Community. He acknowledged that he has done more that two medical outreach and has no plan of stopping because he has a supportive wife.

Dr. Ukaegbu thanked the Deputy Governor, Chief Emetu, for coming to celebrate with him in his community and promised to support the government in building a better society for Abians.

Also speaking,Chief Hon Smart Ihuoma ,Mayor of umuahia north local government and Honourable Mayor chigozie ,Counsellor representing ward three in Umuahia north legislative area in their respective goodwill message during the outreach/birthday celebration commended Dr Ukaegbu for his human oriented service in his community and pointed out that the likes of Dr. Ukaegbu is what Abia State needs to drive community development.
“you don’t need to be a politician before you decide to affect people’s life positively”.

They thanked Dr. Ukaegbu for giving back to the society and prayed that God will grant him long life and more grace to give .

 

Highlight of the event was the presentation of souvenirs by Rotarians to the Deputy Governor and Commissioning of some apartment built by Dr. Ukaegbu and family by the Deputy Governor.
