Former Permanent Sec, Wife Murdered At Home

The Lagos State Police Command has commenced investigation into the assassination of a couple in the Allen Avenue area. Engineer Femi Matthew Egbeoluwa and his wife, Funmi were reportedly killed by unidentified gunmen who broke into their home at 1 Adefolu drive, Allen Avenue between last Friday night and early Saturday. The couple’s domestic help was also attacked by the assailants, who left the wife in a pool of blood.

According to other sources , it was rumored that they were killed by the driver and house help in an attempt to steal £5,000 they were meant to travel with for late Femi’s medicals .

The police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident and stated that the investigation is ongoing, although no suspect has been arrested at the time of filing this report.
The case has been transferred to the homicide section of the state Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba, for further investigation.
