The Acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has decorated the newly promoted twelve Assistant Inspectors General of Police (AIGs) and nineteen Commissioners of Police (CPs) with their new ranks. This event was held at the Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Peacekeeping Hall, Force Headquarters, in Abuja.

Addressing the promotees, the IGP emphasized the importance of embodying the core values of service, sacrifice, and selflessness in their roles as law enforcement officers.
He commended their dedication and hard work, recognizing that their well-deserved promotions symbolize increased responsibilities and the trust placed in them to lead by example.
The event drew the presence of several dignitaries, including governors from Abia, Akwa Ibom, Edo, Kogi, and Lagos States, Dame Patience Ebele Jonathan, retired IGP Usman Alkali Baba, a senator representing Kogi Central, and royal fathers from Kogi and Lagos States. The occasion was also attended by members of the Force Management Team, senior police officers, the families of the promotees, and well-wishers.

The Inspector General of Police congratulated all the promoted officers and encouraged them to redouble their efforts in the service of the nation.
He also expressed gratitude to the Police Service Commission for their comprehensive and objective evaluation of the officers’ performances.
He pledged to enhance collaborative efforts to further excellence and fulfill the NPF’s mission to serve and protect the people of Nigeria.
