IGP Disu Unveils Plan for Ogun Police Academy, Nationwide College Upgrade

The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has announced plans to establish a new Police Academy campus in Ogun State and upgrade 42 Police Colleges across Nigeria.

At a strategic meeting with the Minister of Education, Maruf Tunji Alausa, and Minister of State, Suwaiba Said Ahmad, stakeholders agreed on infrastructure upgrades and accreditation plans in partnership with Tertiary Education Trust Fund and the National Universities Commission.

The new Ogun campus is set to begin operations in 2026.

IGP Disu says the move will strengthen professionalism and prepare officers to tackle modern security challenges effectively.
