Sources in Lagos have confirmed that the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation Limited(NNPC) ordered its various outlets to sell petrol at N488 per litter.
According to an eyewitness account, who identified himself as Segun and was at one of its outlets at Ojodu Berger,
He said, “They were selling at the normal price when the manager asked them to stop. They immediately adjusted the new price to N488 and said that it was ordered from above as the official price.”
