The Deputy Governor of Abia State, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families of those involved in the tragic accident involving a motorbike carrying students and a truck earlier today in Amaekpu Ohafia, Ohafia LGA of Abia State.
He made this statement in a press release by his Chief Press Secretary,Chukwudi Eke Mba on the 26th of march 2025.
Engr Emetu depicted overspeeding as a perilous behavior that endangers not only the driver but also passengers and other road users.
He described the loss of young lives as a profound tragedy that leaves an indelible mark on families and communities alike.
Deputy Governor Emetu while pointing out that every life is precious , urged all drivers to exercise caution and adhere to speed limits, as well as to remain vigilant and considerate on the roads.
He assured the people that Abia State Government will do everything possible to prevent such tragedies from occurring in the future.
