The Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre (NPF-NCCC) has announced the activation of its E-Reporting Portal as part of efforts to strengthen the fight against cybercrime and enhance public safety in the digital space.
In a public announcement issued by the Centre, the Inspector-General of Police encouraged members of the public to take advantage of the platform to report various forms of cyber-related offences, including online fraud, identity theft, cyberstalking, hacking, and other internet-based crimes.
According to the statement, the portal is designed to provide a secure, convenient, and efficient channel for citizens to submit complaints and assist law enforcement agencies in responding swiftly to cyber threats across the country.
The Police urged victims and witnesses of cybercrime to promptly channel their complaints through the official E-Reporting Portal at https://nccc.npf.gov.ng/ereport/signin.
The statement further reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to ensuring the safety and security of Nigerians in the digital environment.
The NPF-NCCC also advised members of the public with complaints relating to police misconduct to report such cases to the Nigeria Police Force Provost Marshal or the Complaint Response Unit (CRU).
“Together, we can build a safer cyber environment,” the statement added.
The announcement was signed by the Director of the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre.
