The Police Service Commission (PSC) has released the names of successful applicants recruited into the Nigeria Police Force as Police Constables following the completion of the nationwide recruitment exercise for 50,000 personnel.
In a statement issued on Wednesday by the PSC Head of Protocol and Public Relations, Mr. Ikechukwu Ani Torty Kalu, the Commission said candidates who participated in the recently concluded written examination can check their recruitment status on the official recruitment portal from 12:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2026.
According to the PSC, successful candidates will also receive notifications through the email addresses and phone numbers provided during registration.
The Commission said successful applicants would be required to report to their designated Police Training Institutions on dates to be announced later for medical examinations and documentation. Candidates who fail to report within the stipulated period would be deemed to have declined the offer.
The PSC further warned that candidates who fail the mandatory medical examination conducted by the Police Medical Team upon resumption of training would be declared unfit and withdrawn from the exercise.
Applicants are expected to report with their training call-up slips, National Identification Number (NIN) slips, Bank Verification Number (BVN) slips, original and photocopies of their certificates, and other required documents listed on the recruitment portal.
PSC Chairman, retired Deputy Inspector-General of Police Hashimu Argungu, thanked President Bola Tinubu for approving the recruitment of 50,000 police constables, describing it as a significant step toward strengthening Nigeria’s security architecture.
He urged the successful candidates to serve the nation with dignity, integrity and professionalism, noting that their recruitment is a call to contribute meaningfully to a safer and more secure Nigeria.
