An exclusive NewsmakersNG photograph has surfaced, showing former Inspector-General of Police, Solomon Arase, enjoying what would turn out to be one of his final public appearances.
The image, taken on August 22, 2025, at a private ceremony in Rabat, Morocco, captures Arase in high spirits. Dressed elegantly, the 69-year-old former Police boss is seen laughing heartily alongside another guest, his face glowing with warmth and vitality.
Just days later, the mood would turn tragic. NewsmakersNG investigations revealed that Arase reportedly suffered food poisoning at a wedding ceremony in Morocco. He was flown back to Nigeria in a coma and admitted at Cedarcrest Hospital, Abuja, where he briefly regained consciousness before passing away.
