Bandits have attacked the Primary Healthcare Centre at Kuyallo, in the Birnin-Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The bandits kidnapped two nurses and an unspecified number of patients.

One of the leaders of a local Vigilante group, Musa Alhassan, said the bandits initially targeted the nearby Government Day Secondary School, arriving around 9 am on Monday.

He added that upon finding the school empty, the bandits turned their attention to the nearby healthcare centre.

“The bandits came to the school around 9 am, asking about the students, but when they found out that the school was empty, they went to the healthcare centre kidnapped the people there,” Alhassan said.

Alhassan further narrated that the bandits came into the healthcare centre, “wielding guns and machetes. They started dragging people out of the hospital, and we could not do anything to stop them.”

The Kaduna State Police Command, as well as the state government have yet to speak on the incident.
