Gunmen kidnap Plateau House of Assembly Member

Gunmen reportedly abducted a member of the Plateau State House of Assembly representing Pankshin South Constituency, Hon. Denty Laven.

According to reports, the lawmaker was abducted from his home in the Dong area of Jos North LGA.

Last week, gunmen similarly stormed the Dong community where they kidnapped a serving member of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, and a student of the University of Jos.
The kidnappers had invaded Solomon Dansura’s family’s house around 10 p.m. and whisked away his two young guests in the process.

There has not been an official response from the state officials or confirmation by the State Police Command as of the time of filing this report.
