Nemesis, a recoil of nature has caught up with a one-man syndicate that specializes in hijacking and stealing containers cleared and leaving Lagos ports.
The syndicate who posed as members of Presidential Policing Marshal Task Force, and also impersonated the office office of the National Security Adviser (NSA) Babagana Monguno to hijack already cleared containers leaving the ports.
Members of the syndicate are singing like canary, telling the police of their nefarious activities.
Parading them before press men, the Lagos State Police Commissioner, Hakeem Odumusu, said that the suspects were found out not to have any connections with the Office of the NSA during interogation ; more so, the Office of the NSA has debunked their claims.
According to CP Odumusu, two containers and one branded Toyota Hilux, with registration number, KRD 990AP, with the inscription, “Presidential Policing Marshal Taskforce, IMA Special Taskforce” were recovered from them.
Members of the syndicate are: Chijioke Okoro, Chijioke Joseph, Gideon Ijachi, Daniel Abraham and Nsika Eket.
Others are Stanley Akparakwu, Augustine Dosu, Solomon Emeka and Benjamin Steve.
