The Nigeria Police Academy (POLAC), Wudil, Kano State, has extended the deadline for its ongoing admission application exercise by one week, providing prospective candidates with additional time to complete their registrations.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by the Police Public Relations Officer of the Academy, DSP Umar Musa Isah, the institution announced that the online application portal, initially scheduled to close on July 15, 2026, will now remain open until July 22, 2026.
The statement said the extension was approved by the Commandant of the Academy, AIG Patrick A. Atayero, to accommodate qualified candidates who encountered challenges or were unable to complete their applications within the original timeframe.
According to the Commandant, the extension is intended to ensure that no eligible applicant is denied the opportunity to participate in the admission process due to registration difficulties.
He urged all interested candidates to take advantage of the additional week to complete and submit their applications before the new deadline, warning that no further extension would be granted.
Prospective applicants were advised to visit the Academy’s official portal, polac.edu.ng, to complete their registration.
The Academy also provided support channels for enquiries and complaints, including the email addresses admin@polac.edu.ng and support@polac.edu.ng, as well as an online complaint form.
The Nigeria Police Academy is one of the country’s premier institutions for training future police officers and continues to attract applicants from across the nation seeking careers in law enforcement.
