The Lagos State Police Command has invited Pastor Chris Okafor, Senior Pastor of Mountain of Liberation and Miracles Ministries, to report at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti, over allegations of multiple rape, other sexual offences, and conduct capable of breaching public peace.
According to a statement signed by SP Abimbola Adebisi, Police Public Relations Officer, for the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, the cleric is expected to appear by 10am on Monday, January 5, 2026, following the service of a formal police invitation letter through his legal representative.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh, has directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of SCID, Panti, to conduct a thorough, professional and unbiased investigation into the allegations, which include capital offences and other serious crimes.
To ensure the safety of complainants, the Police have ordered full security protection for alleged victims, while urging anyone with relevant information or evidence to come forward without fear.
The Command assured that the identities of victims and witnesses will be kept strictly confidential, stressing that justice will be pursued without sentiment or regard to status.
