Samuel Aondoakura Akume, son of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, on Saturday tied the knot with Deborah Ershima, daughter of Engineer Msula Atoga, in a modest ceremony held in Makurdi, the Benue State capital.
Vice President Kashim Shettima represented President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the wedding reception and was received by the SGF, the Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, and a select gathering of family members and public officials.
Despite the private nature of the ceremony, the event attracted notable figures from both political and social circles. Among the distinguished guests was the groom’s mother, Chief Mrs. Hanmo Dajor, a former wife of Senator Akume.
The marriage comes shortly after Senator Akume’s own recent wedding to Queen Zaynab Otiti Obanor (Ngohemba) and the cultural festivities marking her homecoming to Gboko, underscoring a period of significant personal milestones within the Akume family.
